Coronavirus statement: our commitment to distributors

Friday, 20 March 2020

To our customers,

In light of the current events we thought it was worthwhile stating our intent during these uncertain times.

We are seeing unprecedented demand from distributors as workplaces, schools, hospitals and all sorts of properties increase their commitment to keeping places as hygienically clean as possible.

That is hugely important – and something we all need to do so our industry can play its part during the pandemic. The cleanliness of surfaces, in addition to personal hygiene, is one area that’s believed to help reduce the risk of infection.

That’s why we are all seeing increases in demand for sanitation-related equipment, including the basics of mops, cloths and wipes, and in both reusable and disposable formats.

Robert Scott is committed to stocking and supplying as much of our range, for as long as possible, and with only minor impact to delivery lead times.

For the products we manufacture we are increasing the stockpile of raw materials, along with reviewing stock levels on a daily basis. We have also extended work hours in certain departments to be able to make and dispatch deliveries as close to normal operations as possible.

To make sure we continue to supply all customers we are also reviewing orders as they arrive to make sure quantities are sensible during these difficult times.

So, we’re able to continue to supply this demand, please allow an extra couple of days for deliveries. Our aim is to get back to the normal lead times as soon as we can. We will keep you informed with any changes as soon as we are aware.

As the Government guidance is to minimise travel and contact as much as possible, we will, of course, respect any customer wishing to change face to face meetings to telephone or video conferencing. To do this please contact your sales manager.

Thanks once again for your patience. Stay safe, and let’s work together to keep the UK hygienically clean.
